Listen to the words. Pay very close attention. If he or she is repeating something several times in a mesmerizing manner, be ready to remove yourself from their presence.

Agree with you Jan. Repetition is one of the signs that somebody is using hypnosis on you. As a result, you can be “lost” in the conversation.
